Missing teenage girl who may have taken ferry from Lewis to Ullapool triggers public appeal from Highland police

POLICE are appealing for help tracing a teenage girl understood to have passed through a Wester Ross village.

Trhas Tekele (16) was last seen at her home address on Lewis on Saturday around 11am.

Officers are appealing for information which could help trace the teenager.

They say that enquiries so far have established she is believed to have travelled to the 2pm Stornoway to Ullapool ferry on the same day.

Officers are working to establish her movements.

Trhas is described as black, 5ft 2in tall and of slim build. She has medium length dark hair with reddish coloured ends and was wearing a black knee-length puffer jacket.

Anyone with information regarding Trhas's whereabouts, who believes they may have seen her or who may be able to help trace her, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3928 of November 26.
