Missing Dingwall man found, police confirm

A MISSING Ross-shire man who disappeared while in Aviemore at the weekend has been traced, police have confirmed.

Officers earlier put out an appeal for information after Alan Burness (47), from Dingwall, went missing. He had last been seen walking in Aviemore's Grampian Road at around 9.50am on Sunday.

But in an update at around 11.30am, police confirmed that he had now been found and that the search had been stood down.

A spokesman said: "We can confirm that Alan Burness who was reported missing from Dingwall, has been traced.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal."
