Missing 56-year-old Muir of Ord man is 'safe and well'

Police say a missing 56-year-old man is "safe and well" after being tracked down.

The force said it was concerned for the welfare of Giles Sumner, from Muir of Ord, when officers made an appeal for the public to help locate him yesterday.

He had been missing since Friday evening and was "last known to have been" in Culloden Road.

A police spokesman said today: "We can confirm that Giles Sumner (56), who had been reported missing in the Inverness area has been traced safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who helped with our earlier appeal."
