Medieval fun will be the order of the day when an Easter Ross community celebrates the Imbolc Festival.

The Tarbat Discovery Centre has announced plans for a medieval fair and children's activities in Portmahomack on Saturday, February 3.

The fair, which is one of several events, will be hosted at the village's Carnegie Hall from 12pm to 3pm, and organisers are promisng a captivating journey into medieval times, offering a blend of historical exploration and family-friendly activities, culminating in an insightful conversation with folio artist Thomas Keyes.

During the fair, visitors will be able to engage in hands-on experiences such as trying medieval crafts, dressing up as a Pict, and enjoying ancient board games.
