PARENT pedal power will propel a hardy group of Ross-shire cyclists on a gruelling 64-mile coast to coast cycle on Saturday.

Cycling from Ullapool via Ledmore junction and Bonar Bridge to Dornoch, the team will take in some amazing scenery — and some very challenging climbs.

Cash raised by the 22-strong group will boost Marybank Primary Parent Council’s kitty.

Those going range in ability from “very ocassional” cyclists to hardened members of Ross-shire Roads Cycle Club.

They’ll be joined at the end of the route by friends and family for some well-deserved fish and chips!

Anyone wishing to sponsor the team can contact Marybank Primary School on 01997 433320.
