POLICE have confirmed that a man’s body has been found in Wester Ross.

The discovery was made at Camusluinie near Dornie this afternoon.

Police say formal identification has not yet taken place but the family of 77-year-old Roger Fletcher, who has been missing in the area since last month, have been informed.

Mr Fletcher, from Tayside, was last seen at 8.30am on Sunday June 5 leaving his holiday home at Bundalloch near Dornie, to go for a walk.

Extensive searches were carried out involving police officers, police and SARDA dogs, lifeboat and Coastguard personnel as well as Kintail and RAF Mountain Rescue Teams.

Police said further information would be issued once formal identification had taken place.
