A DINGWALL man became annoyed when police wouldn't let him near his friend, who was lying injured on Bank Street, Inverness.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told Steven Campbell (35), of Meiklefield Road, Dingwall, became aggressive and was warned by officers about his behaviour just after midnight on December 16, 2021.

Fiscal depute Hilary Michelpoulou said Campbell was shouting and swearing and refused to desist. He was arrested and pleaded guilty to a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour.

Sheriff Gary Aitken deferred sentence for his good behaviour until April 21.
