Marshall (33) appeared from custody and gave a bail address in Logie Place, Conon Bridge.

The fiscal said officers were approached by people as they dealt with the incident and Marshall was being difficult and as he was being conveyed to the police vehicle he spat on an officer.

"A spit-hood was applied to prevent a repeat," said the fiscal.

Solicitor David Duncan said Marshall had family connections in the area and moved away from Fife to get away from difficulties he had there..

He said Marshall had difficulties with alcohol.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald said she would need to explore the various sentencing options and deferred sentence until September 5.
