The 48-year-old man and the 46-year-old woman are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court later today.

They were traced in Ullapool on Saturday and arrested for alleged offences that included housebreaking and theft between April and May this year.

The alleged offences happened at various premises and locations, including Lochinver, Lyness and Hoy on Orkney, Torridon, Achnasheen, Scourie, Stoer and Lairg.

Detective Inspector Bryan Ronald said: “I would like to thank the public for their assistance in helping with our enquiries into these incidents.”
