A man had to be airlifted to Raigmore hospital in Inverness following a serious collision on the A835 Ullapool road in Ross-shire this afternoon.

The incident involved a lorry, which jack-knifed, at around 12.15pm at Loch Droma, north of Garve.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received a report of a crash involving a lorry on the A835 at Loch Droma around 12.15pm on Wednesday, 3 February, 2021. A man has been taken to Raigmore Hospital. One lane of the road has been opened."

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said the road was closed in both directions but it was partially reopened, with traffic management by 3.15pm with emergency services still on the scene.
