Alness man accused of exposing police officer to Covid-19 virus by biting them; 35-year-old makes no plea at Inverness Sheriff Court and is bailed for a later date

A 35-year-old Alness man has been accused of exposing a police officer to the Covid 19 virus by biting the constable.

Stuart Inglis is also charged with assaulting another police officer to severe injury, assault to injury, threatening behaviour x 2, vandalism, possession of an offensive weapon and resisting and hindering police.

He made no plea when he appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
