A FIGURE familiar to generations of children has popped in to a well-known Ross-shire charity shop to help celebrate next week's coronation.

Paddington Bear melted the hearts of millions when he teamed up with the late Queen Elizabeth II to help celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.

A memorable two-and-a-half minute video sequence filmed to coincide with the celebrations saw the bear enjoying tea at the palace in his own inimitable fashion –and then showing delight as Her Majesty produced her own marmalade sandwiches from her handbag.

This week, the world famous bear is turning heads in a Dingwall charity shop which is decked out in red, white and blue to mark the forthcoming coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

The town's Puffin hydrotherapy pool – used by visitors from across the Highlands to relieve pain associated with arthritis and other conditions – relies heavily on public donations to stay in action.

A charity shop on Tulloch Street is a familiar fixture in the town helping to maintain a flow of funding and offering bargain hunters plenty to browse.

This week is posted: "Paddington has come for a visit to the Puffin Pool shop to celebrate the King's coronation.
