THE Brethren of Lodge Averon 866 have donated £250 in support of the Milnafua Community Group.

Donald Mathieson said the lodge continues to try and support local community groups, particularly those supporting children.

The Milnafau Community Group has recently reorganised, he said, and is working hard, hand in hand with The Place, to provide schemes to benefit children from a very young age well into their teens.

He said: "This has got to be worthwhile supporting. All our local community groups have been hit especially hard during the Covid lockdown and need as much support and help as the community can muster."

Lodge Averon has chipped in some £1250 to the community over the last few months. As well as local causes, it supports national institutions such as the NHS which are also suffering financially during the ongoing pandemic.

A number of members have also provided their time, volunteering and supporting our community in a variety of ways.
