Lochluichart Community Trust appoints new chairman

A NEW chairman has been appointed to Lochluichart Community Trust.

Uisdean Menzies, who runs Out of the Blue Catering, is taking over the role..

Trust secretary Carol Smith, said: "On behalf of the Lochluichart Community Trust (LCT) board and myself I would like to thank [outgoing chair] Glyn for the support and guidance that he has given to myself and LCT during his tenure and wish him all the best for the future."

Mr Menzies, who lives in Garve, added: "I am pleased to be appointed to the chair of LCT, and look forward to working closely with the Garve & District Development Company, Community Council and all local groups for the benefit of the Garve and District Community.

"During these troubled times it is important that we all work in partnership to ensure our community feels supported and stays safe."

The Garve and District Development Company's board and staff said they looked forward to working with Mr Menzies and the LCT board "in moving the community's plan for development forward".
