A WESTER Ross development company is calling on locals to get involved with its annual general meeting and express an interest in helping out in a variety of ways.

Lochcarron Community Development Company said that at its last AGM date it didn't have enough attendees to be quorate.

So it set a new date and added a guest speaker.

Michael Scott, who lives in North Strome, will talk about his experiences doing wildlife talks on cruise ships at the Thursday, September 2 event scheduled for 7pm at Cafe Ceardach .

LCDC posted: "Please attend and encourage as many others as you can to do so. LCDC belongs to the community and desperately needs its members to get involved.

"This is an opportunity to find out from the company directors how the last year has gone, progress on current projects and future plans."

Anyone interested in becoming a member of the community company, volunteering, joining the board as a director or finding out more can get in touch at lochcarroncommunity.wordpress.com or by emailing infosmithyhub@gmail.com
