MOVIE fans will get the chance to enjoy one of Scotland's most beloved films on the big screen when the Screen Machine mobile cinema next visits Wester Ross.

Local Hero, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, will be screening when the mobile cinema stops at Dornie on June 7 and 8.

A few days earlier, on May 26 and 27 the cinema will also be stopping just across the Skye Bridge at Kyleakin. Local Hero will also be among the films screening at that time.

Other movies getting an airing include blockbuster family-friendly fare like The Super Mario Bros Movie and Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.

The Kyleakin dates will also include screenings of the drama God's Creatures, starring Emily Watson and Paul Mescal, and the star-studded Allelujah, which is based on Alan Bennett's play and includes Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi and Jennifer Saunders among the cast.

The Dornie dates, meanwhile, will feature romantic comedy drama Rye Lane.
