Kiltearn and Wester Loch Ewe community council postal ballot deadline looms large
THE deadline for the return of postal ballots allowing people in two Ross-shire communities to state their preferences for forthcoming elections is looming large.
Seats on community councils in Kiltearn and Wester Loch Ewe are being contested alongside eight others across the Highlands.
That's in stark contrast to a number of communities which have seen the grassroots "eyes and ears" bodies fall away through a lack of interest.

With a week to go until the Highland Community Council elections, Highland Council is reminding anyone who has not yet posted their ballot paper that there is still time to do so.
Postal ballots for the ten contested community councils must be completed and returned by the deadline of noon on Monday, November 27.
