The picture gained lots of attention on social media, bringing a light-hearted angle to a persistent issue for Highlanders across the region.

Our readers shared their thoughts on the Ross-shire Journal Facebook page.

Calum Mccool said: “Needs to watch she doesn’t get lost in some of the potholes there!”

Phyllis Ross warned: “Take care if you’re in Invergordon!”

Gary Benson concluded: “It’s funny, as long as the point about the ridiculous potholes throughout Invergordon is not lost.”
