VANDALISM in broad daylight to public toilets in a Ross-shire village has triggered a report to police and a community appeal for information.

Community toilets at the Station Road car park in Kyle of Lochalsh happened between 8am and 11.30am yesterday (Saturday).

Kyle and Lochalsh Community Trust is now appealing to the public for information and shared details of what was damaged.

It said: "Did you see or hear anything suspicious at the Kyle public toilets on the morning of Saturday, March 23 between 8am and 11.30am?

"There was attempted forced entry into a locked cupboard, resulting in damage to the door surrounds, a boot print on another locked cupboard door, a snapped wet floor sign was thrown into a cubicle in the men's toilets and litter discarded in the urinal.

"This is being reported to the police. The damage occurred while the facilities were open to the public.

"If anyone has any information, however small, or was in the area and noticed any suspicious activity, please message our Facebook page privately. Please feel free to share this post."
