Crew members of the Kyle of Lochalsh lifeboat were involved in a search for a missing person in the Isle of Skye area.

Concerns were raised over the 25-year-old around 7.45pm yesterday and they were found by police safe and well at 9.20pm.

A Kyle RNLI spokesman confirmed they were involved in the search but were not involved in the rescue as the person was not in the water when they were found.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said officers conducted a full search of the area and the missing person was found safe and well.

An HM Coastguard spokeswoman said: At around 8.30pm yesterday HM Coastguard was asked to assist Police Scotland with a search for a missing person near Bradford Pier, Skye.

"The person made themselves known to coastguards at the scene. Coastguard rescue teams from Dunvegan, Kyle, Portree and Duntulm were sent, along with an RNLI lifeboat from Kyle."
