Karen Gillan shares her couples therapy look – as cyborg Nebula

A sneak peek at how Karen Gillan looks in the base layer of make-up for her Marvel character Nebula was shared by Inverness's Hollywood star on Wednesday, the UK release date for the latest episode of the Guardian Of The Galaxy franchise – Volume 3.

Karen Gillan tweeted a screenshot on Twitter of a time when she forgot a couples therapy session with her husband Nick Kocher and was in her Nebula make-up – a full-on four-hour process to get into that includes prosthetics and black contact lenses!

Gillan made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the first Guardians movie in 2014, the team appearing in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, and they made a cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder, which came out in July 2022.

There was a hint in the Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney+ last November of a step up for Karen's character. The series director James Gunn talked about a new role for Nebula as leader.

And though Volume 3 is the end of the Guardians trilogy, there is speculation they will be seen again.

The film is already in UK cinemas.
