A 26-year-old Wester Ross man was given a warning that he would be jailed if he failed to complete a community payback order.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Louis Chautems from Altan Dubh, Achiltibuie, had only completed 21 hours of the 100-hour sentence imposed in March this year.

He had admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis in North Road, Ullapool on February 14, 2019 and then giving a false name to police in an attempt to pervert the course of justice.

Chautems appeared before Sheriff Margaret Neilson who was told the order was incomplete.

The Sheriff agreed to give him another three months to complete it and be of good behaviour until December 17. However she told him he would be jailed if he breached her order again.
