Ross-shire assault man found with cocaine and steroids lands jail sentence

A man who assaulted his partner at a house in Conon Bridge and was later found in possession of cocaine and anabolic steroids while on remand at HMP in Inverness has been jailed for three months.

Liam McIntosh (29) admitted assaulting his partner by pushing her on the body causing her to fall to the ground on September 12, 2019 at an address in Windsor Place.

The drugs offences at the prison were committed on November 1, 2019.

McIntosh appeared for sentence by video link from the prison.

The case was heard at Inverness Sheriff Court by Sheriff Robert Frazer.
