Police were called to deal with a drunk man who caused a disturbance at a Dingwall property.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told that 23-year-old Corrin McPhee of Meiklefield Road, Dingwall, had turned up at a property in Peffery Road, Dingwall and began shouting and swearing.

McPhee then damaged a gate, kicked and broke a plant pot and pushed over a wheelie bin on April 27 this year.

He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour and was fined £190. He was also ordered to pay the £100 cost of the damage.

Defence solicitor Graham Mann said: "No excuse is offered. There had been a disagreement with a man who was staying there. Drink had been taken."
