Highland man charged with attempted murder

A 34-YEAR-OLD man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court today on a charge of attempted murder.
Robert McTaggart, from Inverness, made no plea to the charge which also includes assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He will appear again within the next eight days.
