Highland long-distance cyclist hopes to return to region by weekend – Alasdair Fraser is hoping to cycle the 1000-mile route between Gdansk in Poland and The Gellions pub in Inverness in aid of the Ukrainian appeal

An Inverness long-distance cyclist is hoping to return to the Highlands by the weekend.

Alasdair Fraser is hoping to cycle the 1000-mile route between Gdansk in Poland and The Gellions pub in Inverness in aid of the Ukrainian appeal.

So far he has made it as far as Bremmen after covering a total of 100 miles and on Saturday he covered 53 miles between Schwerin and Bleckede.

He said he was hoping to reach Inverness by Sunday.
