Airport bosses say it will be business as usual at Inverness Airport despite strike action planned for later this month.

It was reported yesterday that action by Unite the union, which represents members in the Highlands and Islands Airport Limited (HIAL) group, would hit all its 11 airports in the coming weeks.

The workforce rejected a five per cent pay offer which they deemed unacceptable with inflation up to 13.4 per cent (RPI).

It was reported that operations at Inverness Airport would be impacted on February 21, 22, and 23.

This afternoon, however, Inverness Airport said it would not be affected.

Campbeltown, Dundee, Islay and Wick John O’Groats Airports will also be unaffected on those dates, despite previous reports that they would be.

Flights at Barra, Benbecula, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh and Tiree Airports, however, will be suspended.

Operations at Dundee Airport are expected to be affected on February 17 and 20.
