A 21-year-old Invergordon man appeared in private from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court and was released on bail.

Josh McLaren had made no plea to three charges of wilful fire-raising in the Easter Ross town, possessing a blade and an offensive weapon without reasonable excuse and a breach of bail.

He was committed for further examination and will appear again in due course of law.
