PUPILS at an Easter Ross primary school nursery could be in for a big surprise today – if they keep their eyes peeled while out on their daily walk...

Youngsters in Invergordon's Park Primary and South Lodge nursery classes have been doing a project on the children's classic, We're Going on a Bear Hunt this week.

Although the schools are not back owing to the coronavirus lockdown, pupils have been learning from home.

Park Primary has posted a video montage to its Facebook page today encouraging its kids to join in the fun when they are out and about.

People in Invergordon have been asked to put teddy bears in their windows to add to the excitement.

Park posted: "What a beautiful day for our nursery pupils to go on a bear hunt. We hope you have lots of fun. The staff wanted to join in too."

The bear hunt can be carried out during the daily exercise permitted under lockdown measures put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
