A ROSS-SHIRE fire station was called out to a local Primary school at around 11.30am today after a fire alarm went off.

Firefighters at Invergordon Fire Station were mobilised this morning to head to Obsdale Primary, however this turned out to be a false alarm.

The local fire station tweeted:

A Scottish Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The Invergordon crew was called out this morning due to a fire alarm going off at a local school.

"One appliance was sent to Obsdale Primary, however this turned out to be a false alarm and the crew came back shortly after."
