Self taught Invergordon songwriter wins competition

SIXTEEN year old Rhoehaisse Clark has won the John Preston young songwriter of the year award in conjunction with the Liam Colgan music fund.

Miss Clark, who attends Invergordon Academy, writes a variety of folk and pop songs.

She taught herself the guitar two years ago and has been writing music for five years.

Miss Clark now gets the chance to perform on the Liam Colgan Haybarn stage at Woodzstock this weekend, a Black Isle based festival.

Proud mum Donna is looking forward to watching her daughter play the 15-minute slot which is her second ever gig.
