A LIFEBOAT crew sprang into action at the weekend on reports of a yacht in difficulties in a stretch of water in Easter Ross.
East Sutherland Rescue Association (ESRA) was tasked by the Coastguard at 11.49am to a small motor yacht without power in Inver Bay by Portmahomack.
Glen Cassley launched at approximately 12.07pm with three crew members on board.
Following a choppy crossing to Inver two hours after high tide, crew located the yacht with two people on board dragging her anchor approximately 1km from Inver Community Centre.

It was successfully towed back into Inver and tied to an anchor buoy.
The lifeboat was back at Dornoch Station for 1.30pm.
A coastguard spokeswoman said of the duo in difficulties: “They did the right thing in calling us.”
Esra is one of a handful of independent lifeboat stations in Scotland.
It was set up in 1981 after local people were concerned about the level of water-borne emergency response available.
The Dornoch-based group celebrated the arrival of a new vessel funded by Wildland Ltd, the company owned by Danish tycoon and Sutherland land owner Anders Holch Povlsen.
