Injured Muir of Ord man who turned on medical staff and cops at Raigmore Hospital is jailed

A 24-year-old Muir of Ord man who was so badly injured after an attack he needed to be treated in the intensive care unit of Raigmore Hospital.

But Corrin McPhee of Tarradale Gardens wasn't the least bit grateful for the attention and threatened to fight with medical staff and police.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that officers were called to the incident and saw that McPhee was injured.

He was taken to hospital and fiscal depute Adele Gray told Sheriff Sara Matheson that he became aggressive in A&E on the night of September 4, 2022.

"He was threatening to fight with anyone who came near him." she added.

Jailing McPhee for 135 days, Sheriff Matheson told him: "This is appalling behaviour where sick members of the public are and staff are trying to help them."
