Medical staff and police tried to assist a Muir of Ord man who was injured in an incident in Conon Bridge last year.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told that 24 year old Corrin MacPhee of Tarradale Gardens had been taken to A&E at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness on September 5 with injuries to his arms, leg and possibly back.

But when efforts were being made to assess and treat him, he began shouting and swearing at staff and police, fiscal depute Emily Hood told Sheriff Gordon Lamont.

"He needed to be sedated so he could be properly examined and was then transferred to ITU." Ms Hood said.

MacPhee admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and had sentence deferred until July 27 for a background report.
