REPORTS of a man injured in a Highland capital city centre street sparked a major police investigation.

View Place near Inverness Castle was taped off by officers in the early hours after police were told about the injured man.

It remains closed as inquiries continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.25am on Tuesday, 1 November, 2022, officers were called to a report of an injured man on View Place, Inverness.

“The 35-year-old was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.

“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
