SCHOOLS all over Ross-shire got into the spirit of Christmas by staging shows before the start of the holidays.

Students at Mulbuie Primary School performed their play called Everyone Loves a Baby, with Primary 1, 2 and 3 pupils taking part.

Principal and class teacher Sarah Bilsland said: "It was a super performance and the children sang well and remembered their lines.

"Mary and Joseph were played by Finn in P1 and Ella in P3

"We had a lovely star called Ella in P1 and some dancing shepherds played by P3 children Rhian and Sian."

Children from nursery to P3 at Culbokie Primary School put their acts in for their show titled A Christmas Rhyme and entertained audiences twice on Tuesday December 17.

Culbokie primary clerical assistant, Diane Ferns, said: "A huge ‘well done’ to all of the superstar children involved!"

Pupils at Bualnaluib Primary performed in Aultbea in the newly refurbished Loch Ewe Community Church their original show, SNOW!, in which the Controller of the Weather has issues bringing the snow at the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

The school raised almost £750 in donations and sales of hamper raffle tickets.
