STAFF in a Dingwall shop have posted a message to its customers to tell them they are closing.

The New Look fashion store on the county town's High Street took to its Facebook page to thank customers for their loyal business, saying: "This isn't goodbye – it is see you soon".

Encouraging people to shop in neighbouring shops or online, it read: "We are looking forward to seeing you all before we officially close on 18th September."

The full message read: "From all of us here in your Dingwall store we would like to give a big 'thank you' to our customers for their loyal custom over the years.

"Unfortunately it will soon be time for us to close our doors for good.

"As stated below this isn’t goodbye it is see you soon you can still shop in our neighbouring stores and online."

Followers of the fashion shore, took to keyboards to express their disappointment at the decision.

Bellz Kelz said: "This is absolutely devastating, the only good shop left in Dingwall and I prefer this one so friendly, I'm gutted."

Patrycja Krystkowiak said: "No way? Decent shop for teenagers clothes. My daughter will miss her best shop. All the best for lovely staff. Dingwall will miss New Look."

A spokeswoman for the retailer confirmed the September 18 closure but declined to comment any further.
