Contin Community Council seeking ideas for distribution of cash after SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy) made a fund available to help groups tackling the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic

RESIDENTS and groups in the Contin area are being urged to come forward with local worthy causes tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, after an energy giant made funds available.

Contin Community Council made the call after it revealed that Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) had made a "small fund available" to it.

"SSE has kindly made a small fund available to the community council for community assistance in response to Covid-19. Some wonderful residents have already set up the Contin Community Foodbank which this fund can assist.

"Do you have any further suggestions or ideas as to what other support or needs there are in the community at this time?

"The Community Council are meeting by telephone on April 21 to discuss this. We would love to hear from you by Monday 20th.
