New face joins major Easter Ross seafood supplier Aquascot, based in Alness

Simon Fowler will succeed Charlie Bullock, one of the three original founders of Aquascot who has served on its board for 20 years including five as chairman.
The Alness firm has been processing salmon and trout for more than 30 years, partnering Waitrose as their dedicated supplier. It has won a string of business awards in that time.
It enjoyed booming trade over the lockdown period.
Mr Fowler worked in the John Lewis Partnership for 34 years, including a stint as managing director of London flagship department stores John Lewis Oxford Street and Peter Jones.
Mr Bullock will continue to holds links with Aquascot as MD of Bay Food Group.
Dennis Overton, chairman of Aquascot Trust, said: “I am delighted Simon has been appointed to the role following a detailed process involving a number of partners from around the Aquascot business.”
Mr Fowler, who will chair the Aquascot Board called it “a great honour to be asked to succeed Charlie” and said he was a passionate believer in employee ownership “with partners working together for each other’s wellbeing with the confidence to invest for the long-term and a focus on delivering innovation and continuous improvement in a rapidly changing world”.
The business employs around 200 people from the local community and offers a wide range of products ranging from whole prepared salmon and trout, through to products such as fillets, loins and portions, lightly smoked salmon, and an extensive range of easy to cook meals.
