Hit-and-run driver sought over lamppost damage in Maryburgh

Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who collided with a lamppost but left without reporting the damage.

The incident occurred in Maryburgh at around 5pm on Friday.

A police spokesman said; "The suspect vehicle, described only as a small black car, struck a lamppost before leaving the scene, failing to report the damage.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting "incident 2584 of December 1."
