Last chance to tour landmark Highland castle before trailblazing development begins

High Life Highland have been running free tours daily since October.
More than 2000 people have gone behind the hoardings at Inverness to see the inspiration behind the Spirit of the Highlands castle development.
The tours delve into the past, present and future of the historic site.
The final four tours are scheduled for 11am on December 10 and 17, and 1pm December 11 and 18.
Fergus Ewing MSP, co-chair of the Inverness Castle - Spirit of the Highlands Delivery Group said: “We’ve been delighted with the interest shown in the project and have been very happy to give more than 2000 people an opportunity to see the castle up close.
“I’d encourage anyone who hasn’t yet enjoyed a walk around to book on before they finish and work on the main construction starts in the new year.”
Helen Carmichael, Provost of Inverness and co-chair of the Inverness Castle - Spirit of the Highlands Delivery Group said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has come along so far, and I hope as many people as possible will enjoy these last few tours.
“I’d also like to thank our fantastic tour guides who have shown visitors around and shared the exciting and ambitious plans for the castle’s future.”
The plans to develop the castle are supported by a £15 million Scottish Government fun and £3 million from the UK Government.
The developers aim to create a gateway for tourism in the highlands, and a space for locals to enjoy.
