NHS Highland has not recorded any new positive tests for Covid-19 in the past five days.

Friday's Scottish Government update confirmed that the number of confirmed cases in the Highlands remained the same at 375.

The number of those in hospital last night fell by one, to five.

The new figures came as Scotland registered 12 new positive tests for the coronavirus, and saw the number of Covid-19 patients receiving hospital treatment drop by 10 to 422. Of those, five were in intensive care.

Scotland also recorded one further death among those who tested positive for the virus, taking the number of such fatalities to 2488 since the pandemic first began.

Meanwhile, the entire north of Scotland has gone 24 hours since the last positive test was recorded.

NHS Grampian (1423 positive tests), Orkney (nine), Shetland (54), Eileanan Siar (seven) and NHS Tayside (1769) all saw their overall number of diagnoses remain the same overnight.
