A 26-year-old from has said that it is an 'absolute honour' to have made the final of the Miss Scotland contest once again.

Chelsie Allison, who works as a retail manager is one of 12 finalists who will take part in the annual competition at the end of the month.
She took part in her first pageant in 2018, when she was also a Miss Scotland finalist. She narrowly missed out on the crown on that occasion.

Speaking about being a finalist this year, she said: "I certainly wasn’t expecting it as you never know how many girls enter, and I would never take it for granted.

"The first time I entered I didn’t know what to expect, but I think I am better prepared this time."

Those who take part in the competition need to fundraise for a charity of their choosing, and Chelsie has chosen Highland Hospice again.

She said: "I chose Highland Hospice because it is very close to my heart. The work they do on a daily basis is truly amazing."

If she wins Miss Scotland, she will be asked to represent the nation at Miss World in India later this year.
