A woman from the Highlands has been crowned Miss Scotland.

Chelsie Allison (26) scooped the title at the Scottish finals last night, where she was up against 11 other women from across the nation.

The retail manager from Inverness - and now Miss Scotland - will now go on to represent the nation at Miss World in December in India.

Ms Allison chose Highland Hospice as her nominated charity for this year's competition.
