An Inverness long-distance cyclist has reached the Netherlands but has been hit by a technical problem today.
Alasdair Fraser has made it as far as Hardenberg but he has suffered a snapped gear cable.
He said: "Luckily I found a bike shop close by and should be fixed by 3pm."
Mr Fraser is hoping to cycle the 1000-mile route between Gdansk in Poland and The Gellions pub in Inverness in aid of the Ukrainian appeal.
He said he was hoping to reach Inverness by Sunday.
