Jobs seekers urged to attend fair in Highland capital; stores, hotels, council and Army amongst participants

JOB seekers are being invited to a special event in the Highland capital this week aimed at filling vacant positions.

The jobs fair being hosted by the Ironworks on Thursday includes a wide variety of employers.

People looking for work are being advised to be ready to start employment and should also bring their CV with them on the day.

Businesses and employers attending the event – which runs from 10am-noon – will include TK Maxx, Dobbies Garden Centre, Premier Inn, Debenhams, Tesco, the Army, Highland Council, Newcross Healthcare, Skills Development Scotland and the Department for Works and Pensions.

Depute leader of Highland Council, Alasdair Christie, said: “The Highland Council is supporting this important event being organised by the Department of Work and Pensions, Jobcentre staff in Inverness.

“The event is being held in response to current demand for staff from local employers.

“Anyone looking for employment is recommended to attend the Ironworks and see if there are any jobs that suit their skills.”
