Almost 400 paintings will be available for sale at the Highland Hospice exhibition this weekend.

The event takes place on Saturday (10am-5pm) and Sunday (10am-4pm) in the Phipps Hall, Beauly.

Featuring a wide range of mediums and prices there will also be tea and home baking, raffles and Christmas cards for sale.

Event secretary Averil Lockhart said: "We are so excited about this event after all the hard work that has gone into organising it.

"Our last event in 2017 was a huge success, where we sold 129 paintings by 67 artists to a value of £14,600.

"From the sales of paintings alone, £3898 on commission was cleared for Highland Hospice.

"With a similar amount of paintings already having been submitted this year, we are hoping that this year’s event will also raise lots of money for

Highland Hospice.”

Highland Hospice community fundraiser Fiona Stoddart said: "We are incredibly grateful to the Aird Fundraising team for organising what promises to be a fabulous event.

"This group have been such dedicated fundraisers for Highland Hospice over the years and we can’t thank them enough for the difference they have made to our service users and those close to them.

"I would urge anyone with an interest in art to come along to this fantastic event and help support your local hospice."
