Raj Dhanaraj from Kompassion Kombucha, which recently won the world’s best kombucha award in Spain, was delighted to support the campaign: “Highland Heroes is a wonderful way to thank the real-life heroes in communities across the Highlands and this is our small way of giving something back. We’re very much looking forward to the awards and hearing all the stories about all the amazing nominees.”

Sponsoring the evening’s entertainment is Specsavers.

Andrew Carr, retail director at Specsavers Inverness, said: ‘It is an honour to be sponsoring the entertainment at the Highland Heroes awards 2024. These awards showcase the unsung heroes and organisations of our community who dedicate their time and resources to help those who need it the most. Specsavers Inverness is proud to sponsor such a great event.”

The Tartan Heart Festival is sponsoring the awards’ host.

Naomi Hollas, festival coordinator, said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring Highland Heroes once again in 2024 to celebrate the remarkable individuals and organisations making positive impacts across the Highlands.

“Having attended last year’s event, we were truly moved by those who have devoted themselves to improving the lives of others and the brave children who show incredible resilience. We look forward to hearing the inspiring stories from this year’s nominees. If someone in your community is making a difference and deserves to be recognised, we highly recommend nominating them for the Highland Heroes awards!”

Once all of your nominations are received, our judges will whittle down the submissions to create a shortlist. The shortlist will be announced in a special supplement next year where you can vote for your Highland Heroes 2024.

In addition, there is a very special award presented to the hero of heroes who will be chosen by the judges from all of your category winners at the awards ceremony.
