Charitable organisations fulfil such an important role in the lives of so many people today it is impossible to imagine a world without them.

They constantly rise to the challenge of persuading people, who themselves often struggle with the cost of living, to donate money and more to help charities support the most vulnerable.

Highland Heroes will give a big thank you to local charities with the charitable organisation of the year award.

The charitable organisation of the year will be a charity, social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation which delivers outstanding service to support the needs of its users and/or the community.

NOMINATE at https://www.hnmedia.co.uk/highlandheroes/ in any of the categories by December 17.

Director, Elaine Donald, said: "We're delighted to give our support and sponsorship to Highland Heroes once again. The awards are a wonderful way to give thanks to all the hard-working and generous people that do so much for others.

"Charities in particular give so much to their communities, raising money and supporting those who would really struggle without their help. We urge everybody to get behind Highland Heroes and nominate the amazing charities in their communities."
