Highland Council issue update on Plockton landslide

The Highland Council have given an update on the condition of a footpath and road, following a landslide on Monday (February 5) due to heavy rain seen across the region.

The landslide occured at Camas An Arbhair in Plockton, taking down a whole lampost and fencing.

Highland Council have now issued an update on the condition of Camas An Arbhair, stating that the street's road is now open, but a short section of the footway remains closed.

The council said: "Our street-lighting team has already been on-site and have isolated power to the lighting column.

"Post and rail fencing will be erected to fence off the drop."
